CENTRAL FLORIDA SPEECH & HEARING CENTER RECEIVES EMPOWER POLK GRANT
Lakeland, FL (May 15, 2021) – Central Florida Speech & Hearing Center has been awarded the 2021 EmpowerPolk Grant. Empower Polk is an annual competitive grant program of the GiveWell Community Foundation with the goal of empowering local nonprofit organizations to become more efficient and sustainable. This grant supports updating internet connection systems, purchasing tablet devices and investing in new online tools in order to primarily support the front office staff, audiology and the community served.
As the Center continues to re-open all services, efficiency has been a great focus. With the implementation of teletherapy, online meetings and digital management, we have found ourselves in need of more robust Wi-Fi, devices, and online tools to be able to continue providing and growing these services. In implementing these changes, the Center will streamline areas of business and be able to serve more patients.
Central Florida Speech & Hearing Center serves as a beacon for those struggling to communicate and we are thrilled that the GiveWell Community Foundation has joined on our mission to provide adults and children with the quality care they need to communicate effectively.
